Terms of Service
Wildland Exchange is a technology and connection platform for the private wildland-fire industry.
Direct relationships
Employers hire, onboard, supervise, insure, and pay workers directly. Wildland Exchange does not employ, lease, dispatch, supervise, or pay firefighters and never takes a percentage of worker wages.
Equipment Exchange
Equipment Exchange connects buyers, sellers, renters, and lessors. Listings, messages, saves, alerts, pending status, and reservations do not create a binding transaction or an official agency dispatch. Users complete transactions independently. Wildland Exchange does not provide escrow, financing, title transfer, equipment payment processing, automatic lease payments, sales commissions, or transaction-percentage fees.
Sellers must have authority to offer each item and must accurately disclose known defects, title status, liens, and recalls. Counterfeit, stolen, illegally controlled, or unlawfully offered items are prohibited. Listings that misrepresent ownership, condition, agency classification, approval, inspection, or specifications are prohibited.
Users must inspect equipment, verify ownership and title, check liens and recalls, confirm permits and specifications, independently verify agency classifications and inspections, avoid unprotected advance payments, and use a written purchase, rental, or lease agreement. Wildland Exchange does not guarantee a listing, seller, buyer, title, condition, agency classification, payment, or transaction.
Review and enforcement
Wildland Exchange may review reports, pause or remove listings, restrict sellers, preserve listing history, and investigate suspicious or duplicate listings. Affected users may submit an appeal through the available review process. Reporting a listing does not itself prove wrongdoing.
No compliance guarantee
Document and packet status is based on information selected in Wildland Exchange. Official solicitations, awarded agreements, modifications, and inspecting authorities control.
Account responsibility
Users are responsible for accurate information, authorized uploads, account security, and lawful use. These initial staging terms require legal review before production launch.
